what does HOSA do to meet these goals?

As a member of HOSA you will participate in a variety of activities that will prepare you to become a skilled leader and a people oriented member of the health care field. HOSA primarily directs its effort toward health care oriented service projects. Projects include the delivering of personal holiday greetings and performing other service activities that involve patient interaction. These experiences provide invaluable exposure to a variety of patient types in different health care settings.

HOSA also participates annually in a series of career-related competitions. These events include writing tests of specific disciplines, interview and resume building skills, and debates covering all aspects of the health care profession. Furthermore, they offer a means to test and exhibit your knowledge before a professional and academic audience while you gain recognition within the health care community.
